Why I Celebrate My Birthdays

I’ve been celebrating the entire month of November. It’s my birthday month and I decided to embrace it!  I hope you’ll join me. As a young girl, I loved birthdays. It was a special day and celebrating meant having fun with family and friends, presents, and birthday cake. I soaked up every minute.

The grown up me hasn’t changed very much when it comes to birthdays. After all, I’m celebrating another wonderful year of life.

This year, it seemed natural to begin celebrating when I received an early gift. The November edition of Woman’s Day Magazine published a feature called “Own Your Age” featuring yours truly! I’m thankful for this experience and it’s perfect that embracing my age is what made it possible.

Yes, I’m embracing 60. With enthusiasm! After all, I’m heading into a new decade of my life and there are so many things to look forward to. I also get to look back at the past 12 months with gratitude for the wonderful people and the amazing experiences in my life.

The number of candles on the cake are my personal badge of honor. I’d love to share that with you too. The joy in embracing where you are right now. Feeling proud of all you’ve accomplished and for the wonderful things that life still has to offer.

I’m inviting you to join me in a toast to making the next year the best one ever. For you, for me, for all of us. Here’s to celebrating another year of life.
